4CG’s flagship project was the purchase of the old Co-op site in Pwllhai in 2010. This overgrown and derelict land has been since been transformed into a car park and business units.

Facilitating cheaper, convenient and accessible parking for the town has been a core objective for 4CG. There is an ongoing problem with the ever increasing charges, and the availability of parking spaces in the town, especially in the summer months. Creating cheaper car parking facilities helps to bring much needed shoppers and visitors into the centre of Cardigan.

Many of the high street shops are now expected to pay as much as a £1,000 a month Council Tax, our council owned car parks have some of the highest parking fees in Ceredigion. Convenient and affordable parking is a basic requirement for the prosperity and survival of our high street.

4CG’s car parking fees are far less than most other car parks, reducing the cost of parking in Cardigan town centre from £1, in the council run car parks, to just 40p.

Following the success of the initial car park, 4CG purchased a second site on Chancery Lane which opened in May 2011, providing two locations where shoppers can easily access the High Street.
