There’s an exciting project underway to create a new online shopping website for Cardigan.
Teifi Basket is a ‘click and collect’ service that will allow local users to easily buy food from a variety of local shops and producers from one single location.
This innovative solution will allow people who want or need to shop online a choice from using the big supermarket chains. It also supports local businesses, helping increase the size of the Cardigan economy and increasing choice – making fantastic local products available via the web, that so far haven’t been available online.
A proof of concept has been carried out with a team from Nottingham University and a prototype website has now been built by a local web design company. Local traders have been engaged and a number have signed up to be involved through the testing phase.
